This class activity is designed to teach students the differences between the beliefs of the Democrat and Republican Parties by having students figure out which party their ideas are most associated with. The activity has students start on a star in the middle of the classroom with 8 lines in front of them and 8 behind. The teacher reads a prompt. Based on their feelings toward the prompt, a political standpoint, they move forward or backward. Whether they are in front of the star or behind the start after all the prompts have been read determines whether their ideals are more democratic or republican.
